The main objective of the RESYP program is to build resilience in Syunik by improving the living standards and growth of communities, increasing access to reliable drinking water supply, and enhancing access to quality education and healthcare.

During the meeting, the Program Consultant — a consortium of the German companies GIC and CES and the Armenian company JINJ — presented the program’s objectives, implementation methods, and expected results.

Within the framework of the drinking water supply component, in line with EIB standards and the priorities and requirements of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, it is planned to study the water supply systems of approximately 55 pre-selected settlements in Syunik Province and to develop feasibility studies, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, institutional and tariff strategies, detailed designs, and tender documents.

It is dedicated to the first biological wastewater treatment plant built in Ararat, the project of which was developed by JINJ.

We all know that before entering Yerevan and in the territory of Yerevan, untreated sewage and household waste flow uncontrollably into the Hrazdan River, polluting its waters and coastal areas.

In order to solve the problem of pollution of the Hrazdan River with household waste, our company has conducted extensive studies, as a result of which 2 garbage collection stations have been designed and constructed in the southwestern and northeastern parts of the capital, on the Hrazdan River.

Taking into account the hydrological conditions of the mountain rivers of our country and studying the international experience of river cleaning, our company has developed a project for a station operating with hybrid technology, which takes into account significant fluctuations in the water level and flow speed of mountain rivers.

The stations are flexible guides floating freely on the river water level, which direct the waste to the waste receiving chamber, where the waste is collected in the installed waste collection baskets. The waste is removed from the baskets filled with waste with the help of a crane and loaded into a garbage truck.

The construction of these 2 waste collection stations is in the final stage and will soon begin to be operated by the Yerevan Municipality.

The event was a great opportunity to present our innovative solutions, technologies and vision for the future.

ℹ️ By order of the Yerevan Municipality, the JINJ company set about solving the problem, within the framework of which it developed a project for the construction of a garbage collection station and a three-stage water basin system in the corresponding section of the Getar River.

The garbage collection station complex consists of two components:
🔹 garbage collection cages, with the help of which 90-95% of floating garbage is caught and the flow of clean water to Lake Yerevan is ensured,
🔹 a three-stage water basin system with artificial aeration, which contributes to the maximum reduction of unpleasant odors.

To the joy of all of us, the construction of the garbage collection complex is nearing completion and, let's hope, the operation of that complex will begin soon and we will have the first such system in the region.💦
